Privacy Policy

Snuggles ("Snuggles", "we", "us") is a pet journaling app operated by FussionApp, LLC ("FussionApp"). This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Snuggles, you agree to this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign in, we collect your phone number (for one-time password authentication), and optionally your first name, last name, and profile photo.

Pet information. You may provide your pet's name, species, date of birth, and photo. You may add multiple pets.

Family information. Snuggles supports shared family journals. If you create or join a family, we collect the family name, photo, and the relationships between members (primary owner, member, pet sitter). Invitation records (phone numbers, status) are stored until accepted, declined, or cancelled.

Content you create. Timeline entries — photos, videos, captions, notes, reminders, and metadata (date, tagged pets) — are stored so you and your family can view them.

Device and technical information. App version, operating system, device model, anonymized device identifier (for push notifications), language, timezone, and crash/error logs.

Usage analytics. Events such as screen views, feature usage (e.g., when you create an entry, switch between timeline/list/calendar views, enable a theme), and performance metrics. See Section 4.

Subscription information. If you subscribe to Snuggles Premium, we store your subscription status, renewal date, and platform (Apple or Google). Payment is processed by Apple or Google; we do not store credit card or payment details.

On-device pet detection. When you add a photo or video to a timeline entry, the app generates a numeric embedding (a CLIP vector) on your device to suggest which pet appears in the media. Embeddings are transmitted to our backend only for the pet-matching step and, for saved pet profile photos, are stored server-side so future entries can be auto-tagged. Your raw photos and videos are stored only when you post them to a timeline entry.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising. We do not sell your personal information.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share data only with service providers that help us operate Snuggles, and only to the extent necessary:

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We do not share phone numbers with third parties for marketing.

We use PostHog to understand how Snuggles is used. Analytics events contain app and feature usage data.

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest for account data and media. Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel. No system is perfectly secure; if we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you in accordance with applicable law.

Snuggles is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

9. International Transfers

Snuggles is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in the United States. By using Snuggles, you consent to this transfer.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.

SMS Terms

Consent. By entering your phone number and tapping Continue on the Snuggles sign-in screen, you consent to receive a one-time SMS verification code from Snuggles to authenticate your account. This consent is specific to account authentication; you will not receive marketing or promotional SMS.

What you will receive. A single SMS containing a 6-digit verification code is sent each time you initiate sign-in. No other automated SMS is sent by Snuggles.

Frequency. One SMS per sign-in attempt.

Message and data rates. Standard message and data rates may apply, depending on your carrier and plan. Snuggles does not charge you for SMS; carrier rates are your responsibility.

Opt-out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any SMS from Snuggles. You will receive a confirmation SMS and will not receive further verification codes. Without SMS verification you will be unable to sign in; you can re-enable SMS by contacting support or by initiating sign-in again (which re-confirms consent).

Help. Reply HELP to any SMS from Snuggles to receive support contact information, or email support.snuggles@fussion.app.

Phone number handling. We store your phone number to authenticate your account and to send verification codes. We do not sell or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes.

Supported carriers. Messages are sent via Twilio and delivered through US mobile carriers. Snuggles and its carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Changes. We may update these SMS Terms; material changes will be communicated in-app before taking effect.
